American Eagle Outfitters doing Dog Campain to raise money for ASPCA

American Eagle Outfitters on their website are promoting an upcoming line they are referring to as American Beagle Outfitters for you and your dog where you can purchase matching outfits for your dog as yourself.
No word yet as to if this is a real line or just a publicity stunt following the popularity recently of the Shiba Inu dog Bodhi and the Menswear Dog line as the photos link to women's clothes underneath the dog photos.

The company is currently donating up to $100, 00 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) from online purchases through their shop at the moment ($1 from each order)

Her are some of their photos

Imaginative Crochet Unicorn Dog Costume Mask

Hiroko Fukatsu a beautiful yarn artist from Tokyo Japan and who sells lovely patterns on Ravelry  created an absolutely gorgeous Unicorn mask for her cute black Shiba dog.

The Unicorn mask was created in order to make her own original New year's cards (under Chinese horoscope, 2014 is the year of the horse)

Unfortunately Hiroko said she did not create a pattern in order to make the mask and does not plan to sell patterns of her unicorn mask. A shame as with it being the year of the horse having a horse related outfit for this years Halloween for your dog sounds like a very cute option and may be just the go in mystical chic, and pop culture pop for your pooch.

Below I have included a photo of her imaginative creation but for more images of this go to:

and for her lovely knitted and crochet patterns for adults you can look at what she has available for sale:

Menswear Dog collection raising money for rescue

Menswear Dog currently have  eleven days left of its project through indiegogo to raise funds for dog rescue.

Menswear Dog collection is headed up by David Jung a NYC fashion designer who captured the imagination of an online audience through dressing up his dog Bodhi in men's designer clothes and posting the results online. He has since branched out to making his own dog clothing collection.

If you are not ready for dressing your pooch up to the nines then there are also tshirts and posters available as a part of the fundraising project.

Bodhi is a Shiba Inu which is a very popular breed of dog in Japan and of the Spitz family. It is one of the few ancient breed dogs that are still in existence.
It is a small breed that usually ranges from 8 to 10kg in weight as an adult.

As a part of this project every outfit sponsors a rescue animal for a month! Now that's a good cause!
